Anchor and Love

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Anchor and Love is operated by Lisa Lounsbury, trading as Anchor and Love ("Anchor and Love", "we", "us"). These Terms form an agreement between you and Lisa Lounsbury for your use of the Anchor and Love website and application at anchorandlove.com (the "Service"). You can reach us at hello@anchorandlove.com.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. You confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and where you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

3. What the Service is

Anchor and Love is a parenting support tool. It provides guided conversations, daily check-ins, an anecdotal notes (behaviour tracking) record, and related educational resources. It is a support tool only and is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or educational advice. See our Disclaimer.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

5. Membership, pricing and payment

The Anchor and Love membership costs USD $9.99 per month and renews automatically each month until cancelled. New members may be offered a free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken. Prices are exclusive of any applicable sales tax or VAT, which is calculated and added at checkout.

Your membership is sold by Lisa Lounsbury, trading as Anchor and Love. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates. We do not see or store your card details.

You can cancel at any time from the Subscription page inside the app, which opens your secure Stripe billing portal. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone;
  • commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate another person;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or upload content you do not have the right to share;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — including malware, probing, scanning, scraping, automated bulk access, or circumventing usage limits;
  • resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or copy the Service or its content;
  • share your account credentials with others.

The Service includes AI-assisted guidance. You are responsible for what you submit, for how you use the responses, and for verifying anything important before acting on it. AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied upon as professional advice. We may filter, refuse, or remove content, and may restrict accounts that breach these rules.

7. Your content

Your notes, journal entries and messages remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not sell your content.

8. Our intellectual property

Anchor and Love owns the Service and all intellectual property in it, including the software, written material, frameworks, resources, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal or family use while your membership is active.

9. Availability and warranties

We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. On termination you may request an export of your notes and journal entries within 30 days, after which your data may be deleted.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is not permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

13. General

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
