This app is operated by Lisa Lounsbury, trading as Anchor and Love ("Anchor and Love", "we", "us"). Our contact email is hello@anchorandlove.com.

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Anchor and Love is the data controller of the personal data described in this notice.

We collect only the personal data we need to provide and improve the Service. The categories, purposes, and legal bases are:

• Account and profile data — name, email address, and password hash (we do not store your password itself). Used to create and secure your account, provide the Service, and communicate with you. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you and legitimate interests in account security.
• Content you create — saved notes, journal entries, check-in responses, and messages you send to the guide. Used to display, store, and process your content so you can use the Service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Usage and device data — device type, browser type, IP address, and app usage information. Used to keep the Service secure, diagnose errors, and improve performance. Legal basis: legitimate interests in security, stability, and product improvement.
• Support correspondence — emails or messages you send us. Used to respond to your questions and resolve issues. Legal basis: performance of our contract and legitimate interests in customer support.
• Marketing preferences — where you choose to receive them. Used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Subscription payments, billing, invoicing, and related payment data are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe collects the payment information required to complete the transaction and acts as a separate data controller for that billing data. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients:

• Service providers — Lovable (hosting), Lovable Cloud / Supabase (database, auth, storage), and Lovable AI Gateway (conversational responses).
• Payment processor — Stripe, for subscription management, payments, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, or other advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Some of our service providers process data in the United States and other countries outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described here. Content you create remains stored while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it promptly, except where we are required to keep it for legal or tax reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@anchorandlove.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority in your country.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in the database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences inside the app. We do not use marketing or analytics cookies.

The Service is intended for adult parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
